Paul attended the renowned Berklee College of Music, where he studied the composition of music in a multitude of styles ranging from orchestral, chamber, and jazz. He also immersed himself in the nurmerous film scoring opportunities Berklee presented, honing skills and experience necessary to excel in the world of film music. 
 With his skills as an orchestrator and conductor coupled with his composition abilities, Paul began working on numerous shorts and feature films which would lead him to films such as River's End starring Superman Returns' Sam Huntington and The Deep Below starring Veronica Mars' Jason Dohring and Star Trek veterans Marina Sirtis and Michael Dorn.
